Philly's Finest Cheap Art Bazaar! |

Cheap Art Bazaars are an opportunity for artists to offer their work at reasonable rates—usually for $10 or less—to people who might not otherwise buy art. Just as bands sell recordings and t-shirts at their concerts, touring puppeteers sell their art at the Cheap Art Bazaar to help with travel expenses and to offer the audience a momento of their performance. Other artwork comes from Puppet Uprising's organizers and local artists who operate outside of the gallery system. Prices range from 50 cents to 50 dollars and artists sell their work directly without the intervention of a middleman or gallery taking a cut. This helps keep art cheap! |

JustSeeds Print Cooperative
July 4-31 at Space 1026 1026 Arch Street, Philadelphia, 2nd Floor with events on July 4, 11, 20 & 25 The Justseeds artists' cooperative presents OUT OF THE SHELL OF THE OLD, a new exhibition at Space 1026 in Philadelphia. Best known for the Celebrate People's History Poster Series, Justseeds is a nation-wide collective of radical printmakers who have banded together to collaborate with and support social movements as well as each other. This exhibit's presents a rare opportunity to see (or even take home) work by all of the collective's artists: Bec Young, Chris Stain, Colin Matthes, Dylan Miner, Erik Ruin, Icky A., Josh MacPhee, Kristine Virsis, Mary Tremonte, Meredith Stern, Nicolas Lampert, Pete Yahnke, Roger Peet, and Swoon.
