LATE ONE NIGHT a stranger knocks at the door of the laboratory (and residence) of Mr. and Mrs. Clementine. 
INDUSTRIOUSLY sending eggs into outer space, sharpening the knives, and engaging in higher mathematics, Mr. and Mrs. Clementine must suddenly live up to their vow: "We will harbor any fugitive, and ask questions later." 
QUESTIONS such as when will Mr. Clementine retire?  When did Mrs. Clementine know she would never play sports professionally? And most importantly, is the fortune-cookie delivery-woman at the door really who she seems?

After 2007's tour de force of plays that included The Wonders of the World: Recite, The Most Mysterious Day of the Year, and a five-company production of William Shakespeare's The Tempest, The Missoula Oblongata hits the road this sunner with their new original full length play, The Last Hurrah of the Clementines, an original play by Madeline ffitch (yes, "ffitch") and Donna Sellinger, with a live musical score by Travis Sehorn of the band Pebblelight. Infamous for their blend of object theater, physical comedy, junkshop aesthetics and wittifully magical spectacle, the Missoula Oblongata will bring this new play to the air conditioned Philadelphia Shakespeare Festival in Center City Philadelphia for two evenings of performance in July.

The Last Hurrah of the Clementines will be preceded by a solo performance by Boston's PUPPELELE who plays sea shanties on the ukelele while maipulating puppets with her feet.
