J.M. Barrie's lesser known Peter Pan prequel is brought to life in this unique adaptation at Emerald Street Urban Farm and Park. Originally set in the posh gardens of Victorian London's Kensingnton district, PuppeTyranny! modernizes and updates the story of the boy who never grows old and brings it to Philadelphia's very own Kensington neighborhood. Puppets, shadows, animation, live music, dance, and regular-old-acting spin the yarn of a seven-day-old Peter Pan as he learns to fly, unlearns to fly, meets immortal birds, dances with the fairies, and acquires a giant invisible goat.

Directed by Zac Palladino and adapted by Zac Palladino and John Sinclair from the novella Peter Pan In Kensington Gardens by J.M. Barrie. Original Music by Craig Hendrix, dance by Club Lyfe Stile, and starring Kennedy Candra, Leslie Rogers, John Sinclair, Egina Manachova, David Laverdure, R,J. Bradford, Zac Palladino and more.

PuppeTyranny! (Puppet-TYR·an·ny) is a collective of young performers, musicians, puppeteers, friends and wrongdoers all slapped together from various corners of this country in Philadelphia's Kensington Neighborhood (of all places). They seek to misguide and aggravate, as well as induce the shaking of the hips and the fists. Whimsy and Melancholy, marinated with craftiness and multimedia-ness, all in a soft shell taco. Did you see Act III of Julius Caesar this year? Yea, it'll be like that.
